Another trip to the zoo

We took a spur of the moment trip to the zoo last Saturday since it was nice out and we were having a break between all the storms. I am glad we did. Ariana loves going to the zoo and now that is mobile she ran all over the place screaming and pointing at all the animals (I would say the flamingos were her fav this time around)
Checking the flamingos out.

The zoo just doesn't seem to get boring! I am glad that we are close to it but sure wish it was like some other ones that we have visited that are much larger with more animals! I won't complain though, it is a great activity and we can go through it in about 2 hours and she is exhausted after and usually takes a great nap!

Our Walker is a Runner Now

She went from crawling and walking with assistance one day to a walker the next and within a couple of days it has turn to running! She is so cute! Nothing can really stop her!
This picture is not of her running but demonstrates that my little girl's hair is finally growing and she seems to be getting curly hair! It just flips up like that all the time now. I love it!! If you had asked me before I had a baby what I thought she would look like it wasn't brown-redish hair, a fair complexion, bright blue eyes, and now curly hair! I love it though!

Hola Hooping at Auntie's

"Look mom, I can walk, run, and hola hoop at the same time!"

"I am so big now!"
It is truly amazing how they turn from baby to toddler overnight. Somebody please make it slow down a little bit!

AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am

Sean and I headed to Pebble Beach this weekend to go to the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. This weekend was fun for so many reasons!!! I just loved every second of our weekend away. Ariana went to Nana and Grandpa's for the weekend, which she absolutely loved every second of it! They were so nice to watch her on Valentine's Day plus they had my two niece's with them all weekend too! We are so lucky to have them!

First, we went to cheer on my college roommate's brother-in-law, John Mallinger, who is a PGA tour professional golfer. Second, most of my college roommates, who all have little kids of their own, were able to find sitters (mainly grandma and grandpa's) to watch them while we all meet at Pebble. AH.. it has been a while since most of us got together kidless and not pregnant. Well, all of us except for Celeste who is expecting her second, but still, it was a record so far for the least amount of preggers with us! Third, it was a much needed weekend away for my wonderful hubby and I. And the list could go on an on and on.... It was tough to stay quiet on the course with all of us girls but what a blast. I love that no matter how much time goes by we just pick up where we left off as if no time has passed since we all met in 1995. They are such wonderful girls! We were not allowed cameras on the course but I snuck a few with my camera phone!
18th hole on Pebble Beach- absolutley breathtaking
John Mallinger's last hole for the day on Saturday. We followed him the entire day!

We ended our night with dinner with The Mallinger clan at a wonderful Italian restaurant in Carmel where we got to do some star gazing as Kelly Slater, Michael Bolton, and Kenny G came into the same restaurant. The best part was the Matradee was serving our table and was right in the middle of taking our order when Bolton walked in. The Matradee completely stopped our order without a word and ran up to Bolton to seat him immediately. Bolton could care less as he was carrying on with some friends that he saw when he walked in. My husband thought that was completely inappropriate so he went to their table and interrupted the Matradee and told him he should return to our table and finish our order. I couldn't believe he did that, but that is husband, and he did come back and finish taking our order!
What a fun weekend, we already have it on our calendar for next year!

Missouri Family Comes to California

Sean's family came out for a visit for Ariana's Baptism and decided to make a trip of it. We had a FULL house for a week but it was fun to hang out with our two niece's, Maddy and Molly, Aunt Dani (Sean's sister) and Grandad and Grandma.
Hanging out at home with the girls! Sean was very out numbered around the house. It was kinda fun having all those girls in the house!

We made a day trip to San Francisco to take the kids to the California Academy of Sciences. It was great! Ariana loved the aquarium part! It was very crowded but we took our time and had fun looking at all the exhibits.

We couldn't get Ariana away from the fishes! It was so fun to watch her!

Party of 22! That was just for most (not all) of our immediate family to go out to dinner one night! We went downtown Sacramento to Chicago Fire Pizza! Such a good family environment but also a cool place to hang out! This is a pic of just one half of our table. It was crazy but a good crazy to get our whole family together.

We celebrated Grandad's and Ariana's birthday together one night with a family dinner at our house. Grandad has 4 granddaughters and loves it! (I know he secretly wishes that our next one is a boy so he can take him hunting and fishing!!! :-) )

Molly and Aunt Dani out to lunch and shopping!

A rare shot of Maddie and Molly (sister's) hugging and smiling with each other! (oh... you gotta love sisters!)

It was such a fun time and we hope they will come back to visit soon (with Macy next time!) We just love to see all the cousins together playing and laughing. Too much fun!

Ariana's Baptism

(Ok, I know these pics are out of order but you get the point)
Ariana was baptized last Saturday in Elk Grove at the church I grew up going to. It was a big celebration. Sean's entire family (except Uncle Tim and Macy) flew in from Missouri to be there for it. They were here for a week so we had a fun time visiting (more pics on that later) and getting ready for the Baptism. Here are the pics from the church and luncheon we had afterwards.
This picture is of Sloan, Macy, Lizzie, and Matthew. We took it because it is the first time all of them have been in the same place since Sean and I got married. At our wedding we had 5 out of the 7 bridesmaids pregnant!! These little ones were in their mommies belly's last time they were all together at our wedding! (Well... Kathy had just had Matthew but he was still there!) The only one missing is Cole Mallinger, Samira's little boy!!!
Our luncheon that we hosted at Auntie Kathy's and Uncle Greg's. Yummy pasta and wine on the menu. Can't go wrong with that!

Ariana with both sets of grandparents! So special!

Our Little Walker

Miss Ariana finally figured out that SHE CAN WALK! She has been trying too for so long... She has been taking 5-10 steps at a time for about two months now... but last night in the middle of a big Superbowl Party at our friend's Melanie and Jason's house, she decided to walk back and forth between mommy and daddy. She of course was doing it right in front of their HUGE plasma TV that was playing the game. She likes the attention! She woke up this morning deciding that she hadn't forgotten how to walk and continued to have fun with her new found independence walking up and down our long hallway! She still has to figure out how to stop and pick something up without falling and then continuing on her way but she is definitely on her way!!
